Support Policy

Warranty

For original owners, our hardware, including System Software and Firmware, is fully supported for three years after purchase. The warranty is transferrable during the first year. We still provide support beyond this, but special terms apply, and additional costs may be incurred. Failures or defects due to misuse, non-supported changes in hardware or software, or Force Majeure are exempt from warranty. See also our Terms and Conditions.

We can only support standard configurations

As a general rule, our products are only supported in factory-standard configurations. We cannot provide support should an issue arise due to third-party or non-standard components being used.

Olympus Music Server Exceptions

The Olympus Music Server does not require any configuration at the Operating System level, and the system does not allow any custom software to be installed.

You may add or change only specific hardware without affecting the terms of the support agreement:

  • Taiko Audio Network Card
  • Taiko Audio XDMI Cards
  • Taiko-recommended Storage

Extreme Music Server Exceptions

You may install third-party software on the Extreme Music Server, but this is not recommended, and we cannot provide support if conflicting software causes an issue.

Please note that installing OEM (third-party) USB drivers may cause conflicts with the Taiko Audio USB driver due to overlapping instructions when our driver also supports the DAC. In such cases, de-installing the OEM driver may render the Taiko Audio USB driver unusable, requiring a driver reinstallation that can only be done via a remote support session.

Examples of non-supported software:

  • Ravenna
  • CD Ripper or Music Library Software
  • Internet Browsers
  • Firewall Software
  • Remote Desktop software other than the standard VNC application

Exceptions:

  • If you temporarily need an internet browser, we recommend Firefox Portable Edition. Its portable nature means it is confined to its folder, does not install files on the system, and leaves no information after use. Firefox Portable works with the Roon Downloads page and Ookla Speedtest (which does not work with Internet Explorer).
